************************************************************************************************

The facility is one of few in the USA where students see the fire protection equipment in operation. Fires are started to demonstrate how sprinklers operate during a fire. Learn how to conduct a fire pump test by actually flowing a diesel and electric fire pump, trip and reset dry pipe valves, deluge, single, double and cycling on/off preaction valves, flow a fire hydrant and take pitot readings and graph the test results. They do not just read the code to you, they explain how things work, and then demonstrate by hands on learning.

All equipment is operational and is demonstrated during seminars and includes the following:

Electric Booster Pump

Diesel Vertical Turbine Fire Pump

Wet Pipe Riser

3 Dry Pipe Risers

Single Interlocked Pre-Action Riser

Double Interlocked Pre-Action Riser

Cycling On/Off Pre-Action Riser

Deluge Sprinkler Riser

Fire Detection Devices including: Vesda Air Sampling, Infrared, Ionization, Photoelectric, Projection Beam, Thermal, and Ultraviolet

Chubb Loss Control University would like to thank everyone that attended one of our fire lab courses this year. We have had a great response to several of our

classes, so much so that we have had to turn some away who wished to attend. Thus, due to overwhelming demand, the following courses are being re-offered and

added to Chubb's Loss Control University November schedule:

Module 3: Fire Pumps November 15

8:30 - 4:30

Module 2: Dry Pipe, Deluge and Pre-action Sprinkler Systems November 16 8:30 - 4:30

Please note: Because these are additional classes, and not part of our regular schedule, these classes will not be held if we do not have at least 15 attendees

per class. We will make the decision to hold or cancel the class based on the number of attendees registered as of November 2. Therefore, please get your

registration in early! We will not require payment until we confirm the class is being held. All classes are held at Chubb's Fire Lab, 15 Mountain View Rd,

Warren, NJ 07059.

Space is also available in Module 4: Water Based Fire Protection. This is a 2 day course being offered November 13 and 14 from 8:30 - 4:30.

Courses provide contact hours which can be used towards NICET, CSP and CFPS designations. We are also an AIA certified provider.

To register please complete the registration form on the web site and send to Michele Shedlock at mshedlock@chubb.com Responses need to be received by
