    There are elevators, LULA's and lifts. Lifts and LULA's are limited to where they can be used.

    How do I "prove" a code requirement doesn't exist?

    See if you can find a series of codes and show the building official which edition brought in the requirement. In the old UBC's you should only have to copy Chapter 12 of each version.

    Since it is a NAVFAC project you need to look at UFC 3-600-01 and UFC 3-600-10N. There are also differences if it is SIPR or NIPR. Are you a contractor or design professional?

    I'm not sure how you can keep a property owner (new) from constructing a legally permissable building on his property because of an existing non conforming condition in the existing building. Are there any restrictions filed on record for the property the new building will sit on?

    The max for other construction types is 85 feet with sprinklers. Are you sure you are measuring the height correctly?

    It is really destroyed. Many shingles are gone, wood is exposed and there are divots all over. The insurance adjustor had no problem with it being a total. The hail was larger than golf balls and lasted over five minutes. All my neighboors have also been approved for new roofs.

    Section 3803 of the 1982 UBC required Central Station or constantly attended monitoring where there are more than 100 sprinklers. I will look to see if I have an older UBC.
