    It only represents a potential trip hazard for someone exiting the adjacant vehicle. I see this often when existing noncompliant spaces are altered to be accessible.

    Indeed Mark and as noted; ICC is a model, it has not been approved by DOJ as "safe Harbor". The state is obligated to comply with the ADA and at a minimum to modify as necessary their codes to comply with/enforce it ?

    Curious minds want to know? This assumes that screens do not extend to the floor. 305.7.1 is silent on this and yet 36" min. is required where 3 sided alcoves with walls >24" are provided. Privacy screens also minimize over splashing (smiling)

    ADA is a minimum "guide", not a code. The intent was for "each" state to amend their codes to use it as a minimum with local amendments. there in continues to be the issue of DOJ lacking manpower/ budget to review and accept each states code.
