Is there any section within the ADA that requires additional fire alarm devices (horns/strobes) to be added to an existing building undergoing renovation? This is an existing F-1/B use building. We have confirmed with the NJ Division of Codes and Standards that Uniform Construction Code under which we are operating, does not require additional alarms. What about the ADA? I understand that if new devices were added, required or not, they would have to comply. Thanks.
