Hi all, looking through chapter 11B of the 2010 CBC, I can't see where pictograms are required on the jamb signs of the restrooms, but we have been doing it for a long time. Is that requirement there? 1117B.5.7 discusses permanent signs on the latch side. I have one signage vendor saying pictograms are not required on these signs.

Thanks in advance.

1117B.S.l General.

The wall signs must have the ISA but the "male" symbol is not required, and must have Braille

It is advisable Many blind "Feel" the symbols

BTW

Pictograms, Braille and text are not required on the door signage.

In some states, like Texas, Door signs are not allowed
