The pool was brought to this stage with a rockfall waiting to happen. The first picture is 45' away. The small rocks weigh 300 lbs. The big ones outweigh a Camaro. Think pickup sticks, a little one moves one and a big one comes with it. There used to be a waterfall that the owner built. They moved all those boulders up there. An amazing feat.
To give you an idea of scale, in the first picture there is what looks like a branch sticking out of the bank at top left. It is a 3" plastic pipe. If you have a really good eye, you can see that there is no surcharge steel in the pool wall and it is 9' deep.
