Door mullion?

Hi Michael -

There is no prohibition on mullions in a means of egress in an assembly occupancy as long as the minimum clear opening width requirement is met. So with the door open to 90 degrees, you need at least 32 inches between the face of the door and the side of the mullion.

Lgreene,
Thanks. Load calculation only requires one 3'-0" but would like to use a pair of 3'0" doors with a removable mullion just as a convenience to move items in and out if needed.
