Equipment/Artwork on Corridor Walls

Where can I find the code requirements related to equipment mounted on a rated corridor wall - like an internet router or a component used as part of a wireless access control system to extend the communication between the locks and the panel? Does the equipment have to carry a specific listing because it is attached to the rated wall? It's usually surface-mounted up near the ceiling.

Same question regarding artwork in a rated corridor in a high-rise apartment building. Can paintings be hung on the walls? Where is this stated?

"Exits" get tough, but corridors shouldn't be too restrictive, "finishes" are IBC Table 803.9, the fire code might have something more restrictive for "artwork"....Nothing for a listing, but if it is not "life safety" it doesn't go in an exit enclosure here....

I am thinking as long as it is surface mounted, should not be a problem, seems like it would be same as signage, fire extinguisher, and other stuff found mounted to a wall.

First time I have heard the question come up

If mounted to a J box, than meet the same requirements as an outlet or switch box.

Mount it over 6'-8" high if it's deeper than 4" (ADA).

The main thing to be careful of on a rated wall is wires penetrating the wall.
