The news should be official soon that ICC will announce the acquisition of NTA a lab based in Indiana.
ICC apparently has been saving its money as more than $20 million has been spent in the deal. Most likely they will retest all the products in the ES system. ICC has practiced a grow it at home philosophy so this is a bol move for them.

Very interesting move by them. Is this another way to help the industry or feed the machine?

Well, NTA has been in business for quite awhile and was doing well, so whether this move helps the industry will become apparent in time. The ICCES has not served the industry well in selectively helping some clients at the expense of others. I think NTA's current clients should be wary.

"conflict of interest?" creates a misperception?

Just got the ICC catalog looks like some code books will cost a bit more! Good thing I put some extra in the budget for next year.
