Online retailer selling dog accessories (leashes and clothes), 7500 sf suite in a single story Type IIB building. They would like their offices to be open to the area they are storing their merchandise. While there is no separation requirement between the business use and storage area, I do worry about the employees having to egress through that area for their second means of egress (egressing through an area of higher hazard). Please let me know your opinions. Thanks!

I have nothing to add about the code … but i want a business where i can make a living selling dog clothes …

Is the B-occupancy accessory (>10%)? If so, moot point.

But realistically, I see no problem with this.

I see no prohibition to the exiting arraignments. I would however separate the bath and break room from the open plan with a wall running north - south. It is pet peeve of mine looking into bathrooms

Layout looks close to a car dealership with those pesty salesmen offices and desk out in the open.

Access to exits should be a priority.
