What would you do if you arrived at a parking lot and all the non-accessible spaces were taken? Would you leave and not patronize the business or would you park in the reserved parking space?

I am thinking of a small lot with less than 25 parking spaces.

Just curious.

depends on my physical abilites,, and where the nearest parking spot that was open,,,, and distance away from the place I was going,,,,, plus if I had a vehicle that required more space to get out.

Everything you mentioned doesn't matter at all. If you don't have a Handicapped Placard or license plate you can't legally park there!

What would you do

Guess I did not understand the question:::::?????

OP said ALL the non-accessible parking spaces.

1-25 parking spaces would only require ONE ADA parking spot, close to the entrance, correct!

If the one ADA spot were taken and the lot was full I would go on down the road I suspect.

What would you do if one of the spots have a "Save the world donate clothes receptacle", would you park in front of it?

Lets add a twist

What if the designated handicap space does not meet the requirements of being a handicap space? IE. Slope and Cross Slopes are not correct is it a "legal" space that requires a placard to park in?

Our local judge ruled police can't ticket someone parked in a designated spot unless the the sign included the amount of the fine and the Referencing statue number.

It depends on how long I need to be there. If it's under ten minutes, what's the odds that I would get a ticket? I don't think I know anyone who's gotten a ticket for that. I also have a placard in the window that's a get out of jail free card....if you know what I mean.

100% of parking lots have preferential parking for less than 1% of the population.

Mech, consider that if all nonaccessible spaces are full that the businesses served must be very happy unless people are parking there and going next door because the lot serving that business is full.

First come first served (smiling)

Recently I pulled into a strip mall, one way narrow with parking on both sides, three handicaped spaces were empty so I sat at the entrance waiting for someone to leave. A car started blaring it's horn behind me, I looked and the woman was motioning that she wanted to get into one of the handicapped spaces so I pulled up and waited. She got out of her car, ran into a store coming out a couple of minutes later, jumping back into her car and again pulling behind he and again blaring her horn for me to get out of the way, I had no choice but to move forward, exit the parking lot, go up to the corner, make a U turn come back down the street, make another U turn and again enter the parking lot while the three handicaped spaces remained empty.

Once activists give any suspect class that entitlement mentality they become obnoxious.

So the judge ordered that the potential price to park there must be listed; nice. ;)
