Greetings all,
I was wondering if anybody has seen a pump contol panel built to accomodate the gfci requirements of the 2011 NEC 680.21 ©. I have never have understood why for so long gfci protection was required for spas and not pool pumps. Well, now we have it.
In our community here we have 3 new pools just built and best I can figure is that the panel these guys have installed have no gfci protection for the pumps, just the lights. They have not called in for finals yet so it will be interesting. The elect contractor is a reputable firm from Houston so I don't expect any real head wind but you never know.
Input is most welcome!
