Hi,

We are arranging our restroom units. However, we are not sure about the heights of shower control units. Shall we consider ADA standards or is there any item in ASME A112.19?

John -

Where is the project located? What is the applicable code? 20115 IBC w/ A117.1?

Are the fixtures in a residential home, a commercial business, or multifamily residence?

We need a bit more info. Thanks

Hi,

We are constructing a building with US Standards in Kopenhag(Denmark). 20115 IBC w/ A117.1 is applicable for us. The fixtures will be in a multifamily residence(6 rooms).

Hi,

Also there will not be any disable person in these rooms. However, we want to compare the standards and select best applicable version.

Wow, Kopenhag.

So, per the IBC, you would typically have some Type A units. For those units, A117.1 Section 1003.11.2.5.2 will send you to Section 608. Below are the requirements for the two most common shower types (transfer and standard roll-in).

For Type B units, follow A117.1 Section 1004.11.3.1.3.3
