Swimming pools, TD

In new high rise Bldg , there are swimming pools in level 2 roof. These swimming pools are located outside the building in a non covered area roof . The occupant load is 46 persons (less than 50, then the common path of travel is 23 meters), but the distance from the most remote point to the nearest stair is bigger than 50 meter. Your 2Ind Opinion per IBC, 2015 is highly appreciated.

Occupied roofs are required to have means of egress per Section 1004.5. You'll need a second means of egress, not just because the common path of egress travel exceeds the maximum distance permitted, but because the code requires two exits regradless. Section 1006.3 requires that occupied roofs be provided with the number of exits or access to exits per Table 1006.3.1, and that table requires two when the occupant load is 1 to 500.

You said this is a high-rise, so there should be at least two means of egress at the second story. Don't the pool occupants have access to both stairways?

Swimming Pool OL is only 49, the 2ind Floor has 2 Stairs, this is the nearest one.
