Back in April 2016 when we moved this website to a new server with a brand new platform we took a major hit in visits to the site. The activity with posting stayed roughly the same but the amount of new visitors changed drastically.

This drastic reduction created a massive decrease in the amount of money we have coming in through the banner ads via Google AdSense. The cost of the new platform and server was suppose to be paid for within the first year through the server cost reduction. This was not the case as we took a nose dive and the amount of monetization coming in was actually reduced to 20% of what it was previously. This was an 80% reduction in income from Google. Not good.

At this time, we are now running about 53% of where we were. We are now only down 47% which is good but not great.

For those interested in what happened. One of the biggest draws to this site through google searches was the old archived threads from the old platform. Unbeknownst to me, the new platform did not transfer over all of those archived threads creating the loss.

Our membership has steadily grown normally and the posting has been maintained which is very important, it is just the finances that took this massive hit.

Here is a graph of the situation looking back to March. The February dot only reflects half the month and it is a short month but I expet this upward trend to continue.
Thank you,
Jeff
