CALGREEN NON-RESIDENTIAL CODE REVIEW WORKSHOP (2 CE hours)
Presented by: Wayne E. Miller, Architect, General Contractor, LEED AP NC, and CALGreen Special Inspector
Through both lecture and hands-on exercises we'll explore the California Green Building Standards Code and share the intent, methodology and organizational structure of the code and prepares you to use it effectively.
This workshop will cover:
1. Green building codes and standards overview
2. Working Effectively with CALGreen
3. Understanding Tier 1 & 2, Mandatory and Voluntary Measures
4. Non-Residential Mandatory Measures
5. Non-Residential Voluntary Measures
6. Working with Code Forms and Worksheets
7. Questions and Answers
Learning outcomes for this workshop:
1. Functional understanding of code structure and requirements
2. Ability to determine what green building measures will be required to comply with code
3. Ability to complete code compliance checklists and compliance forms

INTEGRATED DESIGN FOR CALGREEN NON-RESIDENTIAL CODE COMPLIANCE (2.5 CE hours)
Presented by: Wayne E. Miller, Architect, General Contractor, LEED AP NC, and CALGreen Special Inspector and Claudia Cleaver, LEED AP
Through lecture and hands-on exercises, we'll explore the collaborative design process that integrates green building measures into new, non-residential projects to achieve CALGreen code compliance in California.
This workshop will cover:
1. Developing an integrated green building and CALGreen compliance strategy during preliminary design.
2. Finalizing green building measures during Design Development.
3. Documenting green building measures for CALGreen Compliance during Construction
4. Document preparation
Learning outcomes for this workshop:
1. Ability to collaboratively create a green building and CALGreen compliance strategy at early stages of design
2. Ability to develop and integrate cost effective green building measures into design
3. Ability to appropriately document green building measures in the construction documents

Attend one or both of the workshops. Lunch is from 12:15-1:00p. A box lunch is included when you register for both workshops.
