    The Failure of Bluebeam

A new update from the CEO: Dear Bluebeam Customer, I am reaching out once again to provide you with a conclusion to the Bluebeam Studio server issues you may have faced. As communicated last Tuesday night, we identified the root cause and have taken multiple steps to ensure resolution with...

    MyGovernmentOnline Permitting Software

It works with Bluebeam, however, the MGO sessions are not actual Bluebeam sessions which is a bit of a learning curve when you are used to working with an actual Bluebeam session. We are still ironing out some kinks.

    MyGovernmentOnline Permitting Software

UPDATE: We went live February 1st and are still working out the bugs. In my opinion, MGO expanded too quickly, are spending time creating a new platform and just don't have the staff to handle new implementations, routine maintenance and the massive task of creating a major upgrade. It is...

    Anti-Gravity Storm Drain

Because water runs uphill and reducing the size of the downspout drain helps to build head pressure.

    The Failure of Bluebeam

We had to manually download all files, mark them in Bluebeam then upload them to the permit as the marked up files and then re-enter the deficiencies. The system with Bluebeam was down but we were slowed down, still not as pathetic as using paper but still slower than the regular system in...

An Educational Insight into a Notable Building Code Enforcement Lawsuit

Essentially yes. Once it was proved that he was not treated any different than any other contractor, the game was over, although it took over 3 years to get through all of the depositions and court system. Protected class? No he was not.

As someone who has worked in a few states, I completely disagree with that.

    The Failure of Bluebeam

If you are in the US and integrate any software via the API of Bluebeam Studio Prime, you are aware of the problems. The API, used to integrate Bluebeam Revu has a history of failure over the past four years I have been using it. Last year, I figured out the email of the CEO of Bluebeam in the...

An Educational Insight into a Notable Building Code Enforcement Lawsuit

The names have been changed to protect the parties involved. This is from an actual lawsuit in Federal Court. A Case Study on Building Code Compliance and Litigation In the intricate landscape of construction, adhering to approved building plans and codes is paramount, not only for the...

If You Don't Like PayPal - There's Another Option

For those that don't subscribe as a Sawhorse because you don't like PayPal, you can use Stripe instead which has been an option for a few months now. Just an FYI is PayPal was a turnoff. We don't want to lose a Sawhorse over dislike for PayPal.

Pitching a sidewalk right outside an egress door

If a door is not part of an accessible route, but use primarily as an emergency exit to the exterior of a building, what is the maximum slope you can have if there is a sidewalk running up to the door? The sidewalk is the landing and sidewalk all in one.

Permit required for a change in use in PA?

Wrong. There was a program for all commercial buildings in PA going back to 1928 under the Fire & Panic Act. I had plenty of buildings get old COs from L&I and not have to get anything else. There has been a system in place for almost 100 years. Do your homework before you buy a building.

Permit required for a change in use in PA?

Paying for the sins of the fathers and grandfathers. This is the result. A program is in place to catch these, and the system is working as designed. Whoa is me you had to put 20% of the costs towards ADA and modernize with emergency lights and a few other odds and ends. My heart bleeds.

Breakaway CMU Walls in VE Flood Zones

Now you are just being silly and arguing simply for the sake of arguing while grasping for straws in an arena you have absolutely no knowledge or experience in. This is a federal program that is a requirement and local jurisdictions must enforce. Here is the best part. In many municipalities...

Permit required for a change in use in PA?

This is where L&I's rules come in which brings me to the conversation I had with the very first, and the second director of L&I's UCC division starting in the very beginning in 2004 and continuing to my last discussion with the second man in charge in 2016. First and foremost, a commercial...

    277/480V Feeder to New Building

No, the building is under construction, they are still doing electrical work. The room is used by the electricians to lock up their tools, equipment and supplies. Only rough inspections have been performed so far.
