For what distance if wheel stops are sufficient and how about requirements for equipment mounted on bollards?

At least one needs to meet ADA. So at least one will never be used. Why would anyone bother to build something that won't be used?

As far as wheel stops are concerned, the vehicle wheels will never touch the stops as it is drawn. Wheel stops should be as far away as any pick-up truck may require, front or back. However, wheel stops are not to be considered protection for the equipment....protection would require bollards.

Just had a DRP livid cause the installed a charging system called "JUICE BAR" and it was rejected and removed because..

per our electrical inspector not one component of the assembly had a listing or was part of an assembly..

the basically built it from shelf parts and set it up.

have another propsal for a Solar Panel (canopy mounted above parking spots) generated charger ... the DRP took offense when I SUGGESTED it be taller

to avoid snow plow impact with the overhead? he didn't think any thing taller than a pick-up would be used??

Municipal Lot in the public works area so I suggested he guess agin at vehicle height,
