This seems a little stringent for a R-3 occupancy. Project under review is 2nd story living above a garage/storage, with stairs 4'8" from and parallel to a property line. I can see using Ch 7 for ratings at stairs, but no discharge less than 10 feet?Exterior balconies, stairways and ramps shall be located at least 10 feet from adjacent lot lines...
How are other Cal. jurisdictions calling this :?:
