This course will introduce attendees to the latest of the accessibility standards to be adopted for use in the U.S. Although its mandatory use will not be required until January 2012, it may be used locally, if adopted. These standards contain provisions for currently mandated accessibility requirements, for which Designers and Building Officials have not had previously. I.e. judicial facilities play ground equipment, boat docks, fishing piers, Amusement ride, etc. Additionally, these standards will require greater levels of accessibility than the current California Building Standards and the ADA of 1990 contain. This course is recommended for Building Officials, Designers, Plans Examiners, Field Inspectors, and a must for all Certified Access Specialist. Fulfills the CAB Architect's License Renewal Requirement.
Special Requirements
Certificates are provided to those who stay for entire course, no exceptions. Cancellations made at least one week prior to the seminar will be assessed a 25% processing fee. No refunds for cancellations will be given after this time – no-shows are still responsible for their registration fees. Registration may be transferred to another individual.
