The referenced tables use the common path of egress travel (CPET) in the determination of allowable distance. In my book I made a note that this is in error, and that the tables should use exit access travel distance (EATD) instead of the CPET. I just checked the 2018 errata to confirm (straight from the ICC website), and I do not see this listed as errata. However, in the 2021 IBC those tables now use the EATD instead of the CPET. This leads me to believe this was an error, and that they realized their mistake.

Has anyone encountered this, and confirm if this was an error in 2018 and that the EATD should actually be used for these tables?

Older editions just used "Travel Distance", and it was much less than the allowable Exit Access Travel Distance for the occupancy.
