I don't really know much about who or how this started but many thanks. This site has been a tremendous help to me while stuck on the island that time forgot.

Seriously.....I thought one contributed to the forum to support it but now all I find is a yearly subscription. Is that how it should be done? If so is it just done on the anniversary of the join date?

Sifu, if you want to contribute you can by subscribing to become a sawhorse. The subscription is good for 1 or 2 years depending on which one you choose. Being a sawhorse has benefits that regular members don't buy it is optional for you to subscribe

Will there be a warning before I get shut off because I don't remember when I sent in my last donation. Even if I knew what the date was, I wouldn't remember.

Can I have Uncle Bob's senior's discount if he doesn't use it?

Support on your wedding anniversary, its the only date men are forced to remember that its some sort of important day.

Go to your settings and check your subscription. We entered everyone it that had paid based on what and when they contributed. We were very helpful the way we did it.

I guess I'm not getting it. I was a "sawhorse", but now I see I am a "silver member". I don't know what a silver member is or how I suddenly became one. How do I know when I should "re-subscribe"?

Every time you become a silver/gold/platinum/darmstadtium member.

The name change has made a big difference. It's 7:29 PM and there are 231 guests logged on. It could be because it is election night and there isn't anything worth watching on TV.

Then it dipped to 49. And now it's 101 at 7:57 PM. This thing must be busted.

I have to say the numbers are pretty good. Jeff has done an excellent job with this site. Since it's first creative moment form one parking lot to another in PA it has been an upward movement. Quite a number of you came from the old ICC BB. Ya'll remember the night the lights went out? Well I do! Also, I can still remember our phone conversation and Jeff said I can fix that! Boy he did.

Now we all can still enjoy a code forum, interaction with each other and lend a helping hand to those in need of understanding a code issue!

What a great place for code geeks! That said, it is the members that make this site, without your postings, support, and interaction this would be just another dead zone on the net. The numbers would not be what they are without you! You the members, you the Moderators!

There are many that just come and read and never post! I wish they would all Post and become a better part of this site. So I IMHO,I take my hat off to each active member and say thank you for your participation, your posts, your individual financial contributions because without you the Forum would not exist.

The last thing I would say is how do we grow the site to the next level? What should be that level? And who will step up to assure that this forum continues, grows and remains financially solid?

RJJ

3 yrs. ago and right now, ...this site is THE BEST on the internet.

Going from non-existance to THE BEST is quite an accomplishment!

Jeff has already added some upgrades and other features to this

site: mobile apps, ...accessibility from the Iphones and Android

system users, ...the ability to become a corporate sponsor or a

Sawhorsie, ...the "Like & Share" buttons, and because some of us

are lazy, ...down in the far right hand side of the bottom of the

Forum page, a link [ " Top " ] that takes the user back to the top

of the page without having to scroll up feature [ that's pretty

cool ]!....Also, this site is "User Friendly" and easy to navigate.

As far as the next level, ...I am still contemplating that....Right

now, I think that we are doing quite well just doing what we are

doing.......Having a GOOD central place to come and discuss topics,

...problems, ...ideas, and the like......And yes, like anything good, it

is going to cost something.......IMO, ...$60.00 for a 2 yr.

subscription is a bargain, ...at least it is for me.

I will encourage and ask, that if you receive any benefits from

this Forum on a regular basis, ...will you consider becoming a paid

member, so that we can all continue to benefit from each other.

Thank you for your continued particpation!
