A New Type of Smoke Detector?

looks like a neat idea

modern technology use is great

do not think they are listed yet, unless someone can find it?

cost a little, especially if you want to out fit your entire house

A smoke alarm designed and marketed around the idea that low battery warnings can be conveniently and continuously dismissed with a mere wave of the hand.

I'm getting one just so my child can do it for me while fetching my beer during Monday Night Football.

After all, the most important part of a smoke alarm is the ease with which its notification functions can be bypassed by the end user so as to allow them to get some sleep.

Want to disable a device designed to keep you from dying...yep there's an app for that.

I'll wait till they get a listing ULc or UL before I check it out. Electronics galore does not make a great smoke "alarm" alone and this one can potentially cause other issues with ventilation and in a fire this could be a bad situation. I would like to review all their testing data before getting excited.
