Hi,

Does the AC suction line that is inside the compressor unit outside required to be insulated? I am referring to the one that is actually at the bottom of the fan by the compressor. I ask as I noticed the one in my unit is does not have insulation, with the exception of the line that leads up to the valves.

As always, thanks,.

Inside the unit would have all been factory piping and insulation (if there is any, quite often there is not). The only field installed piping would be the piping from the house to the valves.
