Acorn Clamps Listed for Rod Material Type

Did you know that acorn ground rod clamps are rated for:

1) The size of the wire
2) The diameter of the rod
3) Type material of the rod

Therefore, it is possible that you can have a simple acorn clamp that is not listed for the size wire, such as a typical clamp rated for #10awg to #2awg attempting to be used on a 1/0 ground. It is also possible that a clamp is rated for a 5/8" rod but not a 3/4" rod. Lastly the clamps should have markings on them such as 'cu' for copper, 'galv" for galvanized or 'ss' for stainless steel. There are instances where a galvanized ground rod was found with a clamp only marked for copper. This means it was only tested and listed for attachment to a copper ground rod.
