ADA "Approved"

Someone just asked me about an ADA "Approved" product (door hardware). I know the ICC has an evaluation service, but I have never heard of the DOJ approving a product as ADA-compliant. Does such an approval exist? If a manufacturer pays the ICC service to evaluate their product, is the product then designated as ICC Approved? Does the ICC service evaluate products for compliance with A117.1?

Truth in advertisement !!! Compliant/ approved which looks better

Do not have to enforce Ada but looks like if an item was approved it would have some nice big label on it.
