ADA compliant walk-in tub?

I am renovating public housing units for mobility accessibility per ADA and CBC 11B. One of the existing residents is requesting a walk-in tub (example shown below) due to their disabilities. They have a difficult time lifting their legs over the rim of an ordinary tub to transfer onto the tub seat.

Is there such a thing as an ADA-compliant walk-in tub?

For what it's worth, I've also looked into the idea of a walk-in shower, but the CASp is saying that if we provide a shower-only, and all other units on the property have a combo-tub/shower, then we have not provided an equivalent amenity/feature in the mobility units (as compared to all other units on the property) and thus would not be code-compliant.
