A California architect was sentenced to one year in prison for the death of a Los Angeles firefighter. The home he was living in and had designed caught fire in 2011. The fire was caused by a fireplace that was only designed for exterior use that had been installed inside in violation of fire code.

I also wonder if there will be any possible prosecution of the building inspectors?
