Auto Door Opener at Elevator Lobbies

It was just brought to my attention that some automatic door openers where deleted in 7 garage elevator lobbies. Are they required per ADA/ANSI/IBC/FHA? I can't find anything on it.

My gut tells me that they need to have auto openers but considering stairs wells and units don't have them, I'm not sure what to think.

Thanks

I’m a facility manager for a large bank. We get about one call a month from a branch manager, a customer is demanding to know when we are going to install automatic openers and get compliant with building codes. Learned long ago that they are only required in the mind of the lazy customer.

Good Pr, good practice to do so.
