I know nail salons have stringent ventilation requirements. Are there any special requirements (ventilation or other) that apply to barber shops? We just got in an application for a barber shop -- first one I've ever encountered. We seem to have beauty parlors and nail salons on every block, but this is being reprented as a barber shop.

Occupancy Classification: Barber Shops

Occupant Density: 1 per 100 square feet

Occupant Density (Number per 1000 ft²): 10 (since 1 person per 100 ft² translates to 10 people per 1000 ft²)

People Outdoor Airflow Rate in Breathing Zone, Rp (cfm/person): 10 cfm/person

Area Outdoor Airflow Rate in Breathing Zone, Ra (cfm/ft²): 0.06 cfm/ft²

Exhaust Airflow Rate (cfm/ft²): None specified

So, no special requirements such as dedicated exhaust for each chair that anyone is aware of? I was afraid I might have overlooked something.

Thanks.
