Re: 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible design Table 224.2

In the second column, marked "minimum number of required rooms without roll-in showers", does that mean that an accessible bathtub would be required or would it be ok to have a room with a roll in shower where there were 1 to 25 guest rooms?

Thanks,

GPE

I don't know if you could choose either. But that being said, it looks like they are allowing tubs as a lower(?) cost option to a roll-in shower.

How's it going back in Georgia?

It's going great around here. Permits are up about 20% from last year. It's not like the mid 2000's though, and I doubt if it ever will be. Thanks for asking.

The table, I think, may be just be poorly worded. I can't see not allowing a roll-in shower to meet the requirement as it would be just as accessible as a tub and even more so.
