We are designing a consolidated ice plant for our ice arena. The actual ice plant will be its own room built onto the side of the arena. How would this plant be classified? The actual arena is A-3, I am thinking F-2 for the plant? From what I understand ammonia can be explosive if the pressurized vessel is heated, but I don't think it would be considered an explosive process.
Thanks!

It is likely an F2 depending on the amount of ammonia. 3.2.2.8. wouldn't apply, meaning this might change the classification for the whole building. 3.3.6. may also come into play.

Thanks Tmurray, I never considered that the classification of the whole building could change. Food for thought.
