The Assembly approved a bill that would give small businesses some time to come into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act before they can be sued. It now heads back to the Senate for a final vote

Considering they've already had 25 years how much more time do they need?

Considering they've already had 25 years how much more time do they need?

Yeah, how long is it going to take these businesses and public agencies to learn the 139,301 pages of ADA regulations, they've had 25 years, and what about the 30,000 pages added by Obama's Justice Department, shouldn't all these businesses and agencies be going to night school to learn all the 30,000 pages of modifications and additions?

So, what or should I say how did they define "Some Time"? Did they spell it out?

On another note,

The one thing I am still trying to figure out is that a small 10 table food establishment must provide access for someone to enjoy the building and provide service for them and a place for them to discharge.

However, what they actually make does not matter, hence one can have a establishment that only sells SHELL FISH products, to its diners limiting a portion of the public from eating, but all hell breaks loose when they can't enjoy the single table on the 2nd floor patio.

I guess its only a matter of time when they tell us that we can only eat X,Y & Z because others can't enjoy the of options.

I see a place and need, but old small establishments to me should be grandfathered in some manner.

The way I see it is we are loosing a good bit of history in our small towns and big cities also.
