Can anyone point me to the specific reason or meaning ie. Code reference as to why 1/2psi is labeled on a 3/4" brass wog 600 class ball vavle.

Thanks mtlogcabin Does anyone know what code requires this marking, approving the use in low pressure systems?

2018 IFGC
TABLE 409.1.1
Footnotes
ANSI Z21.15/CGA 9.1 X — — — —
ASME B16.44 X X Xa Xb —
ASME B16.33 X X X X X
Footnotes
For SI: 1 pound per square inch gauge = 6.895 kPa.
a. If labeled 2G.
b. If labeled 5G.

The footnote in Table 409.1.1 requires the valve be labeled
I would assume it is also required by ASME B16.44 which is the standard which the valve has to meet in accordance with the code
B16.44—2012: Manually Operated Metallic Gas Valves for Use in Aboveground Piping Systems up to 5 ps
