Brick Exterior Cladding

I can't imagine a real issue unless it has problems with pieces popping out from freeze thaw.....Just like CSST....A wicked time saver but materials must be expensive...

I've seen similar systems. My main concern is that brick veneer is not watertight, so we usually provide cavities behind the brick for drainage. This system is only as good as the galvanized coating.

It is my understanding that there is an effective drainage system in place. The "mortar" is actually more aesthetic than anything.

As far as the cost factor, I would think that the labor savings would make this feasible.

Are there any thoughts as to whether or not this would required an ICC-ES report? It's current use in the US is in a hurricane zone.
