Cafco spary film 2 hour spray on fire proofing

Report is out of date, but There is nothing special, make sure the beams are clean, and you should have a thickness probe.

Dirty substrate will prevent the material from staying on the beams and columns durring fire.

Intumescent fireproofings are very effective. Like Mark states, preparation is important, as well as installation, which is applicable to any spray-applied fireproofing.

The ICC-ES report is still considered valid per the ICC-ES website as long as the report still exists on their website. Here's the statement they provide on the reports page of their website:

"PLEASE NOTE: All of the evaluation reports that may be downloaded from this web site are valid, although some have re-examination dates that have passed. In the case of the latter, the reports are currently undergoing re-examination as required by ICC-ES Rules of Procedure; or they may be legacy reports whose term has been extended without a change to the re-examination date."

Nothing unusual about it, Cafco has been around for years.

My biggest concern would be having the inspection occur close to the time it is going to be covered as spray fire protection can be affected by the sort of mechanical impact which occurs on construction sites, and left uncovered for a prolonged period such damage becomes more likely.
