I am trying to dig into the potential rated wall separation for a class 1 div 1 or class 1 div 2 space from other areas. while i assume a rated separation is required, i can not seem to find it in the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

A rated wall would be the requirement of the Building Code not the Electrical Code. The rating if required would be based on use groupe and separation required from other uses or fire areas.

There really isn't a dividing wall required necessarily based on the electric code. You could have a hazardous location on one side of a giant service bay that's basically a 10' x 10' open area adjacent to the hazard (for example), and while the electrical would be required to comply with the NEC hazardous locations, there are no walls required or demarcation required. Almost nobody would know a hazardous location existed in that area.
