Closet furnace

There is a furnace in the closet. It was powered by an 16awg power cord. I wrote a correction to install a 12awg power cord. Before you start asking questions about that, it's just something that we do.

The furnace was plugged into the receptacle and is now hard wired. The old looking romex at the top of the outlet is a question.....was it there all along? Of course, the new exposed Romex is a violation.
