COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A Colorado Springs man was arrested after he threatened a building inspector who arrived at his home to check on a roof installation Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Police said the incident happened around 1 p.m. on Steward Lane, which is in the area of Marksheffel Road and Stetson Hills Boulevard. An inspector from the regional building department went to the home to inspect a recent roof installation. The inspector knocked on the door, and the homeowner opened it and threatened the inspector with a handgun, according to police.

The homeowner, Allen Chapman, was arrested on charges of felony menacing and prohibited use of weapons.
