A Cook County man is suing Los Alamos restaurant, of Chicago, over claims it violated*the Americans With Disabilities Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act.Eddie Davis filed a lawsuit Aug. 11 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Los Alamos Inc. citing negligence.According to the claim, Jorge Jimenez, Antonio Jimenez and Amparo Jimenez, owners of the Los Alamos restaurant located at 2157 S. Damen Ave., Chicago, practiced careless judgement and continue to practice careless judgement for not providing an applicable entrance for disabled customers, which Davis became aware of on July 14 when he visited Los Alamos for a meal, but could not enter due to the alleged conditions there.Davis has asked a judge to declare Los Alamos is in violation of both the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act, plus award him litigation expenses.He is being represented by the Accessibility Law Group of Chicago.
