Hey guys, I need a little help understanding the building code pertaining to corridors. For example, I need to know when a corridor is required within a space. If you could direct me to the chapter in IBC that can help me resolve this question, that would be greatly appreciated.

There is no provision in the IBC that directly says you must use a corridor. However, the closest thing to requiring a corridor is the intervening room requirements in Sections 1016.2 and 1016.2.1 (2018 IBC). If you cannot satisfy the requirements for intervening rooms, then a corridor will be required to access the building's exits.
