This is my friends house I borrowed in Costa Rica, as I was sitting on the second floor deck watching the boats in the harbor, I noticed the deck railing had a belly in the middle....I went below to investigate....... The shower was a little scary too, not to mention that I had to take cold showers every morning for ten days, but I'm not complaining!!!!View attachment 802View attachment 801View attachment 800View attachment 799

I spent every evening on the deck! I just kept close to the stairs......

Nice one High Desert! I found out later that the wires used to go to an inline heater between the showerhead to provide a "warm" shower.....

eek! glad your back safe beach!

When I was Puerto Vallarta two years ago, it was a gas to sit in the bar on the beach and look up at the electrical clusterfvck supplying juice to the lights/fans! eek!

Puerto Vallarta is really a scary place. I was in a large public building and there was an open junction box on the floor and a leaking water pipe next to it spewing water all over the place. They were building a 10 story hotel next to me and I didn't hear a power tool for the ten days I was there. I think they mixed all the adobe by hand.
