Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, and grateful it exists!

I am trying to fine tune exterior door sets headed with Detex A019 single door, low energy operators for both regular traffic and ADA compliancy (we are an educational institution). The UDC 1000 control module that comes with theses operators allows for many configurations and options with the ability to fine tune them as well. However the manner in which some of the options interface with and modulate with one-another is difficult to pin down. While the Detex tech line has been helpful, I am looking for other customers with field knowledge of their operation to bounce a few questions off of. So, anyone think they got these figured out and dialed in to their likings?

Grateful for any help!

WelcomeShould be some help coming

How did you find our humble forum??
Thanks cda,

I can't recall the exact search terms, but it was through IE browser. I was looking for a forum of professionals dealing with ADA compliance in reference to architectural hardware. Once I saw that Lori Greene of IR (now Allegion) - who has helped connect me before - was involved here, I figured I would stick around.

Thanks for the welcome!

I'm going to just post a few questions here to make this easier:

Detex A019 low energy single door no clutch - All questions specific to fine tuning of UDC 1000 Control Module.

Does Hold Open force trimmer affect opening speed?

How do Hold Open and Activation open interface?

How do Push & Go and Reverse on Obstruction interface? Is there only one Push & Go per initiation or multiple possibilities outside of latch zone?

What affects the sensitivity of Reverse on Obstruction?

Control Module Pin 7 (Hold Open on three-way toggle switch) is this functionally separate from the other control functions?

I'd be grateful for help or notes from anyone with experience wrangling these into desired operation.

I think it will be tough to get answers to these here...did you talk to the guy whose name/number I gave you? I don't think there is widespread expertise with this product, so he may be your best bet.

I have, but have not heard back yet - number goes to voice mail. Perhaps I'll just have to keep tinkering until I become the expert! So it goes!

thanks LG
