Do I laugh, cry or get sick???

I lived in a 32 ft travel trailer for about a little over a year --last quarter of engineering school, a temporary 6 month assignment, and then while house hunting in new location. It makes moving easy.

It gave me more space and more privacy than a dorm room.

that sure would have let me build my three bay garage instead of cutting the budget after foundation and looking the towns largest sandbox for twenty plus years; I always believed a mans garage should be bigger than the house anyway.\

As faras Una Bomma goes could be why he opted to make this rapidly expansive

Seriously though, our idea of how much space we actually need for living has expanded dramatically over the years. In 1974, the NAHB reported the average home size as 1,400 SF, and the average household size was 3.14 people.

In 2004, the average home size was 2,330 SF, and the average household size was 2.62 .
The 3.14 1974 people probably weigh 120 pounds less than the 2.62 2004 people. All our furniture has gotten bigger to accommodate our fat asses.

Deleted; realized the difference between feet and square feet...

Ted Kasinski, BTW, is NOT crazy. He rejected the insanity defense and fired his lawyers. He still thinks he did the right thing, apparently. Just another misunderstood genius?

And here is another clip of some ... dwellings, that they are building in Portland, Oregon (just one of several thousands of reasons why I moved from there and am glad to longer be living there)
I too moved away from Portland.

The folks that would buy these are likely members of the "critical mass" group. Remember them??

Unabomber Items to be Offered in Online Auction

By Associated Press , 05-13-11

SAN FRANCISCO – The manifesto and other items belonging to the man known as the "Unabomber" will soon be available for purchase, the government announced Thursday.

The infamous manifesto, in which Ted Kaczynski condemned the industrial and technological revolutions, will be offered in an online government auction from May 18 through June 2, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement.

The auction offering will include more than 20,000 pages of written documents, including the original handwritten and typewritten versions of the manifesto. Personal documents including Kaczynski's birth certificate, photos, handwritten notes, driver's licenses, deeds, checks, academic transcripts will also be up for auction.

The items were seized during a search of Kaczynski's cabin in the Montana woods following his capture in 1996.

U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell ordered the sale in August. Proceeds from the auction will be used to compensate Kaczynski's victims, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Kaczynski, 69, is serving life without the possibility of parole in a federal prison after pleading guilty in 1998 to setting 16 explosions that killed three people, including two in Sacramento, Calif., and injured 23 others in various parts of the country.

The Harvard-trained mathematician railed against the effects of advanced technology and led authorities on the nation's longest and costliest manhunt before his brother tipped off law enforcement.

Seems to be the common opinion........me too of course, as long as its connected with a heated passage!
