A few months ago, I posted on the mechanical forum asking about type 2 clothes dryers in apartment laundry rooms.

The owner was not able to give me a definitive response as to the future type of dryers, therefore the inspector wants me to assume Type 2 dryers with 4" exhaust. UMC/CMC Table 303.10.1 requires minimum 2" clearance to combustibles for class 2 dryers.
Now for my building code question: when the dryer duct goes through a conventional 2x6 exterior wall, the stucco has 2 layers type D-60 minute building paper. Is this paper considered a "combustible"?
More specifically, due to the 2" clearance, will I need an 8" hole in the stucco finish to install a 4" diameter dryer vent termination?
