Does Exception 2 under 2021 IBC 3006.2 also apply to 3006.2.1?

3006.2.1 is stated as if it stands alone, but an exception for the level of exit discharge would seem reasonable.

I vote no.

3006.2.1 Rated corridors. Where corridors are required to be
fire-resistance rated in accordance with Section 1020.2, elevator
hoistway openings shall be protected in accordance with
Section 3006.3.

3006.2.1 is a subparagraph to 3006.2, BUT it specifically sends you to 3006.3, which takes you out of 3006.2 and its exceptions.
