Have a project where the panic hardware is being removed from the interior doors of an air lock .The owner is wanting to replace panic hardware with push pads/pull handles..... IS this an ADA accessible door when you have to use the handle to pull the door open -

Hi Builder Bob -

A door pull like that is considered accessible if it has 1 1/2 inch of clearance behind it (this is an Access Board recommendation, not a prescriptive requirement of the ADA standards), and a usable portion of the door pull must be between 34-48 inches above the floor.
