Door Swing Encroachment

Good afternoon all,

In California here - a bit of a newby to Building Codes. Have a commercial restroom project where the design of the entry door/janitor closet door is stumping me. Is this ok? The doors can clearly hit each other depending on swing position. Can't seem to find anything for this except for housing accessibility maneuvering clearances - which would not apply for this project. Possibly encroachment?

Thanks in advance!

RGLA's question is important. Is door #1 the restroom entry door, and door #2 the janitor door?
If so, is there any scenario in which one of the doors, if left partially or fully open, prevents use of the other door?
Is the janitor closet a reach-in closet, or is it a walk-in closet where someone goes inside and the door closes behind them?

The code does not explicitly prohibit one door from bumping into another door, you won't want to get into a situation where one door blocks the other from being able to provide the code minimum clearances of 32" in CBC 1010.1.1.

You may have a plan checker might try to ask for a 48" clear space between both door swings per11B-404.2.6, but given that you have a full 60" turning circle beyond the door swings, I don't think it's appropriate to cite it as a vestibule problem.

Rick18071, I think everyone agrees it is less than an ideal solution. But if the janitor's closet only gets used once in a while, mostly at nightime when no one else is around, then maybe the OP has made best use of what would otherwise have been a dead space.
