I know that the private rooms have to be set up for a floor live load of 40psf. What about common bathrooms, mechanical rooms, laundry rooms and lounge rooms and such?

In a multi story building of R2 use for a college dorm (Type IIIB) would you ask for specifications for those other rooms if there was only a general statement on the prints of 40psf?

What say thee?

Good point and luckily in this case, there are none. People are always invited into dorms and there are often parties which concerns me for the larger "lounge" rooms.
