Seems like I can't edit a post older than 1 day?

I kind of understand the thinking, but could we increase that?

I, for one, always add "EDIT" to the message when I change something. Not everybody does.. but I think we can be trusted a little more.

Or maybe I am just doing something wrong...

Thanks!

The problem with allowing unlimited editing is that a member can get PO'ed and delete all their posts, thereby ruining the continuity of the threads.

I understand, and agree to a point. However, one day is not a lot. Being able to edit a bit further back can stop needless replies 3 pages later. I remember members removing posts from like a 10 page thread, so I know exactly why it is the way it is now. I also remember a member here getting in trouble for posting work-related stuff, so I am sure being able to delete the stuff that could get him in trouble was handy.

Personally I just wanted to clarify something a bit. It's no big deal to me, but I was surprised when I couldn't edit something.

I would also think we own our posts, or is their some kind of facebook TOS going on here.
